"No not that way! Look ahead!"
In this life you are going to make a lot of mistakes; in every aspect of your life. But the problem is none of us really know how to deal with our mistakes, pain, regrets etc. If you’re like me, sometimes you reflect on your life and you think of the many “what if” scenarios. What if I didn’t meet him, what if I would've finished school, what if I would've kept trying, and the list goes on. These are the kind of questions that keep you stuck in the past, but you're not going that way; you're going forward. Instead of focusing on what should’ve or could’ve been, focus on the lesson that you learned. After all, the knowledge you gained from those mistakes have molded you into the person that you are today. So next time you have one of those “what if” moments, instead of focusing on the negative aspect of it, focus on what you gained from it. Maybe you gained a new perspective on life or maybe the situation caused you to recognize things about yourself that you needed to change. This is the purpose of the trials we go through and the mistakes that we make, and that is to shape and mold us into the individuals that God wants us to be. So it’s okay to look back and see how far you have come or to remind yourself of how God brought you through. But do not dwell there because God is not taking you backwards but FORWARD! In order to walk through the doors that God has for you, you have to LET GO because God is doing a new thing.
